105,000 items of EO safely removed and destroyed. 420 million m2 identified and mapped out for cleanup by teams from RENEW-NPA, MAG and PTVN. 9.3 million m2 of land cleared and released to the community for development. 52,000 people interviewed for EO-related information.
Mine/Explosive Ordnance Risk Education
734 MRE sessions held at schools, the Visitor Center and residential areas. 400,000 pairs of TOMS shoes given to children protect their feet. 282 Youth Union officials and school teachers now work as MRE collaborators. 160,000 children exposed to EO safety messages.
Victim Assistance / Disability Support
Over 2,000 amputees provided with new artificial limbs and assistive devices for restoring mobility. 2,681 persons with disabilities and cadres exposed to information on the Law on Disabilities. 135 members of Blind Associations trained on making incense and brooms to improve their income. 36 billboards advocating nondiscrimination to and solidarity with disabled persons. 30 families with severely disabled persons affected by Agent Orange supported with home renovation and hygienic improvements. 2,300 emergency technicians and village health workers trained in life saving skills and treatment of injuries.
