Acclaimed Vietnamese folk singer Vân Khánh will perform for over 100 disabled students and 40 other persons with disabilities in an event to be held tomorrow at the Mine Action Visitor Center in Quang Tri Province.

The event will be organized by Project RENEW in coordination with Quang Tri Provincial Disabled Persons Organization (DPO) and Vietnam Ban Advocates with funding sponsored by Handicap International in commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Representatives from the local authorities such as Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Quang Tri Province’s School for Disabled Children and other disability support organizations will also attend the commemoration.

This year the theme of the International Day of Persons will focus on the role of technology in:

• Disaster risk reduction and emergency responses,
• Creating enabling working environment, and
• Inclusive-disability sustainable development goals.
