In celebration of the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s Diplomacy, 57 members of Project RENEW/NPA Workers’ Union came together on the morning of August 24th to participate in the 2024 Blood Donation program organized by Quang Tri Department of Foreign Affairs. Each participant generously donated between 250ml and 350ml of blood, contributing to a total of 16,750ml – a remarkable amount that can potentially save the lives of many patients in need.

“It’s a small gesture, but it can make a big difference,” said Phan Thi Hong Van, a staff member who participated in the event. “I feel proud to be able to help someone in need.”

At the blood donation center within Quang Tri Labour Confederation compound, together with other international mine action organizations, RENEW/NPA Union members shared stories, laughed, and encouraged each other as they waited their turn. The success of the program reflects not only the solidarity and social responsibility of our staff members but also the inspiration to promote volunteer blood donation within the community.

Blood donation is a simple yet vital act that can have a profound impact on the lives of others. It is also a safe and rewarding experience for the donor. By donating blood, you can help maintain a healthy blood supply, which is essential for treating various medical conditions, such as accidents, surgeries, and chronic illnesses.

We encourage everyone to consider donating blood and spreading awareness about the importance of this cause. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
