Dong Ha, Quang Tri, Vietnam – Project RENEW is excited to announce an expansion of our disability support services in central Vietnam.

On August 16, 2024, RENEW joined forces with the Alliance for All Inclusion (AAI) to sign a cooperation agreement for “Project Inclusion One.” This USAID-funded initiative will continue improving the lives of people with disabilities in Quang Tri, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien Hue provinces.

RENEW will receive $306,338 as part of the AAI to enhance rehabilitation, care, and community support systems. Our goal is to improve access to quality care and raise awareness about disability inclusion.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with AAI to make a significant difference,” said Nguyen Hieu Trung, RENEW Coordination Manager.

Project RENEW is a comprehensive model addressing the legacy of war through:

  • Explosive Ordnance Clearance: Working with Norwegian People’s Aid Vietnam to clear landmines and unexploded ordnance.
  • Risk Education: Raising awareness about the dangers of UXO.
  • Victim Assistance/Disability Support: Supporting UXO survivors and people with disabilities with recovery and rebuilding.

By combining these efforts with our disability support work, we’re creating a safer and more inclusive future for all.
