Dong Ha, Quang Tri (12 January 2020) — It is an honor for Project RENEW to have six staff members being awarded Certificates of Merit by Quang Tri Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) for their positive and effective contributions to the implementation of cooperation programs between Quang Tri Province and international NGOs.

DoFA Director Nguyen Trieu Thuong handed Certificates of Merit to RENEW’s staff members during the DoFA-hosted Year-end Meeting with staffs of international organizations on Friday, 10 Jann 2020.

Awardees of Project RENEW (left to right): Nguyen Manh Hung, Information Management Officer, Mai Van Vu, Deputy Team Leader of BAC, Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, Administration Assistant, Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh, Survey & Clearance Program Manager, Duong Thi Thanh Hoa, Financial Assistant to Victim Assistance and Risk Education, and Le Hoai Niem, Team Leader of Technical Survey.

Project RENEW was established in 2001 as a joint effort between the government of Quang Tri Province and interested INGOs to “restore the environment and neutralize the effects of the war” – with the main focus on unexploded ordinance.
