Ha Noi (February 17, 2022) — Mr. Hoang Nam, Deputy Chairman of Quang Tri Province People’s Committee, today delivered remarks at the Conference on the review of 10 years of implementing the national action program to address post-war explosive remnants in Vietnam 2010-2020 and orientation of mission for 2021-2025 which took place in Hanoi.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the National Steering Committee on the Settlement of Post-War Unexploded Ordnance and Toxic Chemical Consequences (NSC), attended and directed the Conference with the participation of leaders of central ministries, provinces, representatives of foreign embassies, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations.


Project RENEW was established in 2001 as a joint effort between the government of Quang Tri Province and interested INGOs to “restore the environment and neutralize the effects of the war”. RENEW is the only comprehensive mine action organization in Vietnam that integrates survey and clearance, risk education, and victim assistance into a coordinated program of action.
