Pham Xuan Long is responsible for the finance and operations of the Victim Assistance/Disability Support Program at Project RENEW. He ensures compliance with the project’s policies and supports program officers to collaborate with local officials. Long also directly engages with people with disabilities to better understand their circumstances and share their experiences.

The program activities provide Long with valuable experience and help him develop personally, enabling him to support the project’s initiatives better. Long is dedicated and hardworking with a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Statistics from Da Nang University of Economics. He aims to use his youthful energy to make a meaningful impact, and participating in Project RENEW aligns perfectly with his personal goals.

Long enjoys playing sports and appreciates the beauty of nature. In his free time, he likes to tend to his plants and travel to new places.

Nguyen Thi Ai Luu has been a member of Project RENEW since September 2017, currently taking over the position of Program Assistant for Victim Assistance/Disability Support. Within this capacity, Ms. Luu consistently supports the Program Manager, collaborates with local partners, and maintains direct contact with individuals with disabilities and war victims to gain an overall understanding of their challenging circumstances. This role enables her to engage in social work and establish close connections with people with disabilities.

With a strong interest in exploring new places and interacting with diverse individuals, the field activities in the Victim and Disability Support Program provide Ms. Luu with invaluable practical experience, opportunities for knowledge exchange, and continuous personal development. She holds the conviction that, through her dedicated efforts and the support of Project RENEW, she can effectuate a positive impact on those facing difficult situations.

Hoang Thi Hue is Program Assistant for the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education Program at Project RENEW. She has demonstrated a deep commitment to mine and explosive ordnance risk education, particularly with students.

Her collaboration with the Youth Union gives her a sense of positive energy, joy, and fulfillment as she engages in meaningful activities that enrich students with knowledge, thereby mitigating the risk of injuries caused by explosive ordnance. Before joining RENEW, Hue had over ten years with Mines Advisory Group as a Community Liaison Officer. This experience has enhanced her current capacity in explosive ordnance risk education. Hue primarily focuses on educating primary and secondary school students about the dangers of mines and explosives, to reduce casualties within this age group. Hue holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (distance learning) and other associated certificates.

Hue enjoys gardening, arranging, and admiring flowers daily. Physical exercise, such as cycling and running, is also an integral part of her life.

Nguyen Thao Phuong is in charge of human resources at Project RENEW, where she plays an important role in the execution and enforcement of HR procedures to ensure compliance with Vietnamese legislation and donors’ stipulations.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Phuong brings over seven years of experience as an internal accountant at Military Bank and an additional two years as an administrative officer at Masan Consumer. In 2020, she joined Project RENEW as a Finance Officer before transitioning to her current role as the Human Resources Officer.

Phuong enjoys exploring new destinations with her family, engaging in meaningful conversations with friends, and indulging in her favorite films.

Nguyen Thi Thu Hien currently holds the position of Finance Officer at NPA/RENEW in Quang Tri Province, having joined the organization in June 2020. She is proud to contribute to humanitarian mine action.

Previously, Hien served as a receivable accountant at Ice Cat in the Netherlands for six months following the completion of her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the United Kingdom. Her extensive experience has enhanced her understanding of financial management. Hien is dedicated to fulfilling her responsibilities and strives to share her professional insights to inspire her team.

In addition to her professional commitments, Hien has numerous passions and hobbies, including traveling, cooking, and spending her leisure time cleaning her house.

Duong Thi Thanh Hoa has been a member of Project RENEW since 2018, serving in the position of a Program Finance Assistant. She is currently responsible for supporting the financial management of two major programs at Project RENEW: Victim Assistance/Disability Assistance and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education. Hoa’s primary duties include ensuring that the financial activities associated with these programs adhere to Project RENEW’s policies and the stipulations set forth by donors. She regularly collaborates with the project’s partners on financial matters, which not only enhances her own expertise but also consolidates the financial management capabilities of local partners.

Hoa graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Da Nang University of Economics. With her dedication, responsibility, and eagerness to learn, Hoa hopes to contribute to Project RENEW’s mission of clearing unexploded ordnance, bringing peace to the people of Quang Tri, and assisting disabled individuals in difficult circumstances.

Hoa is also passionate about experiential travel in her free time. This is how she balances her work and life.

Trần Thị Tú Vân serves as the Finance Officer for the NPA/RENEW Explosive Ordnance Clearance Program in Quảng Trị Province. Vân takes pride in her role within the NPA/RENEW organization and in her indirect contributions to humanitarian mine action. She started her journey with Project RENEW in 2007, initially serving as an Assistant for the Mine Risk Education (MRE) Program, one of the key components of RENEW. In 2008, she transitioned to the role of Operations Support Officer for the Mine Action Program of the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA)/RENEW, funded by the U.S. Department of State. In 2010, she assumed her current position as Finance Officer.

Throughout her tenure in operations support and finance at NPA/RENEW, Vân has amassed extensive experience and consistently demonstrates great enthusiasm in her work. She actively shares her knowledge and personal experiences, fostering a supportive environment that aids her colleagues in fulfilling their responsibilities. Vân feels privileged to work alongside skilled and amiable colleagues within the dynamic and innovative setting of the project. She takes pride in her modest yet meaningful contribution to reducing landmine risks for the people of her homeland.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Vân engages in yoga and Zumba to maintain her health. In her leisure time, she often travels with her family to explore the scenic beauty of her country.

Ho Thien Son is an IT expert with a passionate drive and unwavering dedication. He is constantly seeking new opportunities to innovate and create genuine value in his field. What excites him the most is the ability to turn creative ideas into reality and witness their positive impact on the community.

With practical experience and skills in troubleshooting and repairing computer software and hardware, along with expertise in IT, website design, software development, and database management, Sơn brings to the team not only solid technical knowledge but also strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills. He contributes significantly to the sustainable development and success of the organization.

Nguyen Manh Hung serves as an information management officer for the NPA/RENEW explosive ordnance clearance program in Quang Tri Province. He has joined Project RENEW since 2010. Initially, Hung commenced his career as a non-technical survey (NTS) team member, and in 2015, he transitioned to his current role as an information officer. His primary responsibilities involve establishing and analyzing minefield mapping data, as well as addressing internal network information issues.

Throughout his tenure, Hung has gained extensive experience and continues to exhibit confidence and passion for his work. He remains willing to share his knowledge and is eager to acquire new skills to enhance the quality of his work. Hung has attended numerous capacity-building courses, including the Vietnam TIA certificate from NPA, the EOD Level 1 Vietnam certificate from NPA, the Vietnam VIDAGIS ArcGIS certificate, the NIIT Ha Noi Access 2010 certificate, Training on IMSMA Field Reporting Forms, IMSMA GIS Data Tools Update Training, the Mine Action Reporting and Analyzing Tool – MINT – DBU Quang Tri, ESRI Vietnam, Creating and Editing Data with ArcGIS Pro Certificate, ArcGIS Online Reporting System & Related Tools, Applying the Arcade Language in the ArcGIS Platform – DBU Quang Tri, the 2022 IMSMA Administrator Certificate, and the 2022 Training Course on Data Retrieval of National Standard IMSMA Database and Updates of IM Tools.
